"Take Control – ways to Democracy in Europe" (http://www.projects.aegee.org/takecontrol/) is the flagship project of AEGEE - Europe for the current year. This project consists of six subprojects:       1. European Citizens’ Initiative       2. EU decision - making process       3. Democratic participation in High schools       4. Media and Democracy       5. Election Observation Missions       6. Democracy Beyond Borders       "Take Control" focuses on informing young citizens about the European Union and how they can influence European decisions, as well as providing them with the skills to do so and encouraging positive attitudes to participation. Together all the projects will create the synergy to make a difference. Take Control’s main purpose is to increase the involvement and engagement of young people in the (European) political process.
